Contents: Water distillation of Mangosteen pericarp / Garcinia mangostana L with trace grain alcohol used during processing.

Xanthones, isolated from the skin of the fruit, possess unique healing properties exclusive to mangosteen pericarp. These include a tricyclic aromatic system, plus Isoprene, methoxyl, and hydroxyl groups that contain a diverse array of xanthone compounds, 50 of which are exclusive to the pericarp. The most abundant are a- and y-mangostin, ß-mangostin, gartanin, 8-deoxygartanin, garcinones A, B, C, D and E, mangostinone, 9-hydroxycalabaxanthone and isomangostin, among others. All of these produce remarkable healing properties, especially beneficial for those in which other medicines or therapies have failed.
